Company NewsAdmin Panel – New Insider Info About the Update Revealed (+Screenshots)!

ResearchWritingCenter.com Dear RWC users, I’ve previously informed you on the update that we are preparing for your admin panel within the RWC.

It is getting closer to its final stage, and our IT Dpt. is doing a gigantic amount of work to bring this new user interface to you as soon as possible.

So I’m offering you some inside scoop on how things will work within the new system. At first, I would like to stress the fact that it is really important for the company to make the transition to the new system as least “painful” as possible for the users that have adjusted to the old way they have interacted with the RWC.

That is why the first thing to know for you is that while we will be launching the new interface, the old one that you have used will still be available for an extended period of time. You will be able to switch anytime.

If you are using Twitter and were able to see how it recently presented new experience for the users while having the old interface on – then you’ll get the idea.

Also we will be offering some advice on the new interface for the users through our FAQs section, which will be added to the site. It will also have a glossary available for some of the basic terms within the system. We think it will also useful for the new users, as well as the veterans of our service.

The section will cover main issues that may arise from using the new admin panel and we are hoping that it will be easy to figure things out.

The interface in the admin panel is pretty logical and after reading our info there shouldn’t be any trouble with adjusting to the new interface.

The main idea behind this change (some users may call it drastic) is that we want to bring up your user experience to a new level. During the time after the last changes to the admin panel were made we gathered info from you – our users. We extracted the most useful information that you provided us with, in regards of the usability of the admin panel. This upgrade will alter the way you work with us in a better way.

So what’s new about the admin panel?

User Menu

We realize that sometimes managing your account can be a time-consuming activity, because all of the actions that you have to perform just to view your personal stats. So one of the most important updates, I think, is that it will have your personal data/info always available at the top of the page (see the image below): your ratings, your status, ResearchWritingCenter User Menu number of new messages and some other features will be gathered in one spot and you won’t have to wonder through multiple tabs to view your info.
Most of the data pieces will be interactive and will provide more details upon clicking on them – we position this as one of the main updates to the system.

Order Sorting Options

Time management is one of the most important issues when we are talking about your work with RWC. We decided to make things a lot easier for you on this one. Very important feature that will be handy is the sorting option within the admin panel:

Soting Options

In the available orders section you will be able to sort the orders by a number of variables, including type of assignment, subject, number of pages, et cetera. We think that during the high season this feature will be really useful for you folks!

Messaging System

This is the main source of our communication with you, guys. We paid special attention to this specific feature. All of your messages will be under one single “Messages” tab.

This is how it should look like (I like how the IT approaches everything – especially the message addressed to a “young padavan” :) ):

Messages sorted

It will have some customizable options, including that you will have a possibility to reply to messages without the need to go to the order page. It will be sort of an e-mailing system within the admin panel.

Profile

We want you to be more informed about your performance with us. It will help you to make necessary adjustments to your working procedures and should be a valuable tool for your professional growth with us. This means that your profile will also be detailed to a greater extent – you’ll have more info available about your rating and feedback from customers.

Customer Ratings

This section will help you to understand how RWC works and how we define your status, or any other issues within the system: availability of orders for you, BID requests for specific assignments.

This is how part of the page should look like:

ResearchWritingCenter customer ratings

This page will contain info on all of your stats that are received through interactions with the customer (mostly through surveys acquired after you are done with the work):

Customer Rating Page for RWC how many times you were chosen as a preferred writer, how many customers recommended you to their friends (potential customers), how many positive and negative feedbacks were accumulated during a certain period of work.

This info will help you to orient through the working process, it will show you your week spots: things that you will have to work on in order to be successful with the RWC.

RWC ratings

You will also receive access to details on certain orders:

RWC ratings on orders

Don’t worry, if all of this seems to look a bit complex, we will have the old admin panel available parallel to the new one for an extensive period of time. You will have the time to adjust to the new system and work with the old one, if you feel more comfortable with it. It will still be gone later on, so I would suggest taking the time and exploring the new system – for an easier transfer.

These are just some of the updates that we are offering for you. Again, this is just a work in progress and some of the features might be different in the final product, but we sincerely hope that everything will work out. There is no specific deadline for this separate and consuming project, but we plan to have things up and running for you within the following few months!

    Having gone thru the proposed changes, I am sure it will provide a professional look to the website and help in better time management for the writer. I have two suggestions;
    1. Pl try to include some info about the customer at a place which can be located easily. For example, if a writer has done two papers for the same customer and s/he is in the process of doing another one for her/him, then this info can be there on the top of the page (or order page) indicating like, “You have completed 2 papers for this customer till now”, or a similar sentence. This will help the writer in understanding the preferences of the customer easily. In addition, sometimes, it so happens that a writer cannot find herself/himself compatible with any customer i.e. the customer doesn’t like the writing style of a particular writer. So based upon the past feedback, the writer can take a decision.

    2. The website of RWC is flagged as RED by McAfee Anti-Virus system. Pl do something to improve the rating of the website.

I am looking forward to the launch of the STATE-OR-ART RWC website update. After reading the content, functionality and flexibility that comes with the updates, the update will increase navigation of users, improve on user customization of preferred pages to visit, and ensure time management as a function of utility, is maximized.

I would be glad to see cloud computing functionality hence close to real time update of available orders. this will make it possible for users to have a glance at any new orders that have been added without re-loading the page. cloud computing will also make it possible for the user to see any customer or staff messages without reloading the page. there are so many features that I, as a user, would look forward to.

The switch into the new update, in my opinion, will be welcome by all users.

Thank you for your communication and dedication to keep RWC at par with the advancement of technologies

I would also recommend for the availability of a link where a user can be able to view all the available orders. some of the writers have capacity to write in different subjects and discipline. The option for complete list of the available orders will help to reduce time spent when viewing orders by subject.

I would also recommend there be an option (this can be achieved through use of a flash player), where newly made orders could be viewed at glance, orders that have been assigned could be viewed etc. view of already assigned orders will ensure a user can see if the order has not been assigned to him. or there could be a messaging system (automatic messaging) that sends a message to the bidders of a given project so that they may not keep on checking if they have been assigned the order on bid or not.

    thank you

Hello,I am a new writer but i can’t wait to see the new features especially the introduction of writer rating on the administration panel. I think this will encourage writers to do a better job as the ratings will act as a constant reminder. I intend to get top scores in all the areas to be assessed and i hope their is a reward for exemplary work. Thanks

    Hey!

What a splendid innovation!I cant wait to see myself in the paradise of RWC!!!

  • October 28th, 2010 at 4:49 am

Bring it on, it will help shape the writers. Oops, if my rating is poor, i may never like to see it every time i log in, just provide a link that one clicks and out comes the page, then clicks it again, off goes the page. The writers memory will do the rest!!!. Thanks

    Hey everyone,
Thank you guys for the comments – we appreciate your active discussion on the topic! About some of the suggestion about the admin panel that you expressed – I’m not sure if any of those have already been implemented (cloud computing, etc), but at this stage all of the main functional abilities have been set up, so there won’t be any additions! But we are sure that you’ll like the goodies that we have prepared for you :) :)

  • October 28th, 2010 at 6:43 am

How soon will you be implementing the new system ?, i am really excited about it !!!

  • October 28th, 2010 at 6:52 am

    Hey Stephen,
Well as stated in the article – there is no certain date, but it should happen within the next couple of months! We’ll keep you posted on the progress… :)

We have received a comment from a guy named “Ritchie”. The content of the message is pretty rude/ offensive, so we will not be passing it to the rest of you, guys.
I’ll just write a personal response here, since he/she didn’t provide an e-mail:
As for the “milking” as you put it – have you ever considered any other costs, or you find only your payment relevant? Deduct from the price you have mentioned:
Transaction fees, from every payment the customer made; salary deductions, taxes and I ‘m pretty sure that the company will receive less than you would have.
Exactly that is why the penalties might seem high – you see the situation from your subjective point of view and at the same time: do not realize that RWC is just an arbiter between you and the customers.
And customers here used to receive what they paid for. If they don’t (late on the deadline, off-topic content), they turn to us and return everything they paid and sometimes even more.
For you 30 minutes of lateness might not seem like a big deal, but for the customers it might…
Try changing your perspective and seeing the whole picture.
We totally understand your frustration, but at the same time – you need to be able to tolerate other positions, learn from your mistakes and become a better professional.
I’m pretty sure that there is also your fault in the situation that occurred with your account (most likely you are one of those deactivated writers).
But hundreds of other successful writers prove that those dozens of you, who were blocked from the system sometimes, do not see their own flaws.
I’m personally truly sorry about how it turned out.
But if you want your comments to be posted, please find a more civilized way to express your thoughts and we will be more than happy to start a dialogue.

We are indeed looking forward for the new system. As for the case of the guy named “Richie” who gave barbaric and damaging comments (thanks it was not forwarded to the rest of us), I would like to mention that it is imperatve for writers and the rest of online users of this site to understand the overwhelming pressure and monetary costs that RWC undergoes each single day. Just picture this: coordinating the activities of both writers (who may sometimes be unruly) and customers ( who may also prove to be difficult in some cases)alongside the ever increasing expenses of running activities at RWC. Moreover, issues related to lateness (inability to meet deadlines albeit with good reason) cannot be verified over long distances and therefore accompanying fines are there to keep us on check. I believe without penalties in place, some of us writers are more likely to take our jobs less seriously. Finally, let us offer comments that build, comments that demonstrate civilization. Keep up the good work of informing us Alex and for the rest of us, Bravo!

    • November 1st, 2010 at 7:22 am

      Thanks Simon,
I guess there is nothing else to add to your comment – you are one of our users, and speak for the community :) Thank you too for engaging in the discussion.

  • October 31st, 2010 at 3:18 pm

Every industry has to be run againsts established benchmarks, even our own lives are run in an organised manner. It could be unfair in the side of Richie to use abusive language to vent his anger against this compnay over his own weaknesses. He should accept his failures and continue with life.I get fined but i do not vent my disappointments against others, but accept and see that as a pointer for me to improve on my weaknesses.

  • October 31st, 2010 at 3:23 pm

How soon are you implementing the new system anyway? you have not answered that one, “how soon is soon?”.

A change is always better than a rest.My greatest challenge however is that I spend endless time applying for orders which are never assigned to me. Thanks anyway for the new changes, am sure they will be well received.

I am delighted by the new features soon to be available at RWC. I have enjoyed my RWC experience so far and absolutely look forward to an improved admin panel. I would like to see it in place as soon as yesterday!

Thanks for your enthusiasm Dee :)

As for “Ritchie”, about other services – well, their prices for the customers are a lot higher, and we at the same time are offering services to a far wider group of customers, by offering affordable prices. But we want the quality to be adequate….their expenditures maybe the same, at other companies. But we receive a lot less income, and the expenditures are a far more significant cut in our budget. We have to be strict…in order to provide the quality to the customers and at the same time maintain our existence as a business. There are a lot of variables, which you tend to miss out as the “victim” in this case. We understand your frustration and I’m personally sorry for the inconveniences, but there are hundreds of users, just like Simon here, that prove – keep up with the deadline and the guidelines – and you will be rewarded, that’s all it takes.
And RWC tries to be objective, although it is really hard – we need to keep our clientele and at the same time keep the writers working – being an arbiter…And our decisions are not always “popular” among the writers, but they are fair – not in a subjective way towards the customers and the writers… :)
I truly hope that you will be a successful writer with other companies…And find a writing community where you will be appreciated to the full extent! Have a great day!
I’m sorry, but I’ll still have to hide your comment.
