Company News, Suggestions from RWC usersWaiting for Your Suggestions!

RWC Logotype We wanted to say thank you for all of your comments – they help us with our work. We take into account all your comments when we design future changes in the system.

That’s why we wanted to direct this whole conversation towards something more productive. We want YOU to provide exact suggestions about the work process and the ResearchWritingCenter.com. This includes any procedural issues, which you think we could approve on; any particular features, which can be objectively improved.

Example of a proper suggestion (based on a real suggestion, already implemented):

“Design & Usability. Login/Logout
After I spend a couple of minutes online looking through the available orders section the system logs me off.

It is frustrating, because as soon as I’m trying to leave a page where I’ve spent a couple of hours, or it is simply open in one of the background tabs – RWC logs me off and I have to login again. And I have a lot of RWC tabs open with my orders, which makes me re-open all of them.

I suggest to increase the period of time before the system logs me off up to 1 hour (this is the standard recommended security measure that is used by many freelance writing platforms) ”

How it works: you leave your suggestions in the form of a comment on THIS post, give it an appropriate title, according to the category of the post (more on this – further). Then we organize them in a coherent manner and pass them along to the Managerial Dpt. Later on your offers are reviewed by all of the departments (IT, Marketing, Support, etc) in order to reach consensus on each one of the suggestions. The departments decide, if any particular suggestion is objective and constructive. If it corresponds to these 2 basic requirements – we start the work on implementing the suggestion.

As soon as it’s all up and ready – I inform you through a blog post.

NOTE: your suggestions might be declined, because they can’t be implemented – simply because are not constructive and/or because they’re technically impossible. But we PROMISE that we will do everything possible to make it work for you. ALL of the suggestions will be reviewed.

You have to remember that it might take weeks or even months for different suggestions to be implemented, so please be patient.

There are several categories, which you can post your suggestions to:

  • Design & Usability
  • Work Process
  • General Organization
  • A typical Design & Usability issue would be when you find that the sorting options lack some additional parameters, which could help you to look through the available orders more efficiently.

A Work Process suggestion has to touch upon the writing process – order editing, messaging, interactions with the Support Dpt. If you have constructive suggestions, which could make any of these steps more efficient – feel free to air them.

General Organization issues should concern your payments, fines, etc. If you consider that, for example, fine reporting process needs to be organized in a certain objective manner, which would benefit all of the writers – this is the category to suggest it to.

    There are some additional RULES:

  • Your suggestion has to be well written and convey an understandable thought
  • Your suggestion should not be a response to other suggestions
  • Your comments may be removed if considered to be off topic – messages, which fail to comply with the suggestion requirements.
  • Try to make the suggestions short (“Brevity is the soul of wit”, as said by Shakespeare)
  • You have to clearly understand the nature of your suggestion: it has to be constructive, your idea has to be understandable and you have to be objective with your ideas (offer something, that should help other writers too).
  • Suggestions may be moderated, if they slightly fall out of the guidelines
  • We want this Suggestions option to work for the benefit of our community and each one of you! It’s all up to you now: if you don’t like a particular feature, procedure and you think there is a constructive and objective way to improve it – we will listen to what you have to say!

We are working to make the ResearchWritingCenter.com the best freelance writing community on the web and NOW, more than ever, you have the chance to help us do that!

    Waiting for your Suggestions!

    Truly Yours

Work Process. Alerts for Revision and Preferred Writer.

I suggest that you be sending SMS alerts when one is selected as a preferred writer or when one has a revision.

      Peter,
Thank you for your suggestions. The issues, that you have mentioned have been aired before by other writers. So they are already on the research list (we’ll look into possibilities for improvement). Thank you.

      Design & Usability.
Other than the 2 available Order Sorting options, I feel it would be reasonable to sort orders according to the number of pages, or even according to the cost of the order.

Well, actually – you can sort the orders by the number of pages. It’s right on top of the ‘Apply’ button (Number of Pages:). As for the pricing option, that seems to be a new suggestion, so we’ll put it on file. Thank you :)
