Company NewsRWC UPDATE: NEW STATUSES, CUSTOM ORDER AVAILABILITY AND MORE!

RWC Logotype Editor’s note: if you have any suggestions in regards of the changes that you currently witness, please contact us at manager@researchwritingcenter.com. Note: we will not respond or take into account any e-mails that will be off topic – we need your feedback on the current update. You are still welcome to leave your comments publicly – on the article.

As we have announced a couple of weeks ago – we are preparing a number of important changes to the RWC internal procedure.

All of the changes are expected to take place on Monday, 6 AM GMT, but there might be certain time frame fluctuations – we don’t want to rush anything as our IT Dpt. will be making the changes seemingly unnoticeable for an average user.

Some of the basic changes were highlighted in the previous article. But this time, I’m going to tell you about some of the most significant updates.

Status Updates

As we’ve told earlier – from now on, first status writers will have a right to take certain orders by themselves. But hold your horses: first status writers will also have a limitation of 1 current order. This means that you will have to complete 1 order before being able to take another one. Note, the feature is automatic so there is no way to request the Support Team to give you more orders.

We are introducing a new 5th status (5th status) to the RWC system! As you’ve probably guessed, this status will be assigned to the best of the best writers, the jedi of freelance writing. I won’t spoil everything, but I can tell you that this status will possess virtually unlimited rights towards the Available Orders.

And I can also tell you that I already have a list of writers, who will be granted this status, right after the changes will take place on Monday.

Other statuses will also receive additional rights, which you’ll be able to exploit first thing on Monday.

Fines/Penalties

You have to understand that there will also be some updates to our fines. We can’t simply make it all peachy for the writers, forgetting about the initial purpose of our company: delivering freelance writing papers of high quality. In order to achieve that we have to discipline our staff, especially you – the writers.

The most important update, which you have to keep in mind – from now the Support Team will have a right to reassign the orders within 1-4 hours of your lateness, without any warnings. The payment will be transferred to the other writer and you will receive no funds for it (this is one of the options, there might be cases when you will receive the funds for the order, or at least part of the payment).

This means that being late for the initial deadline will become a risky affair (even for just a couple of hours). You will be able to find more info on this on Monday, when we will update our Penalties page.

But there’s also some good news: the total of fines on any particular order will be limited to $50. This means that no matter how bad you will screw up – you will not be fined for more than $50. This update will especially be useful for freelancers, who deal with substantial orders, composed of tens or even hundreds of pages.

Because of the volume – the total for the order is high, so are the fines, as they represent a certain percentage from the order total. Well, now, if this percentage exceeds $50 in monetary equivalent, it will be lowered to the maximum of $50.

Other changes

You can also expect to see some visual changes, minor tweaks to the interface, which won’t affect your user experience in general.

The Support Team will also be working, based on new procedure guidelines. These are, of course, internal, so you won’t be able to witness them most of the time. But the decisions, that the Support reps will make, are going to change depending on the situation, and some of you will notice that. Right now I’m talking about the problem writers: those who are late, don’t follow instructions (of course, guys like these don’t stay for too long with the RWC) – Support Dpt. reactions and feedback on your failures will be more decisive and even harsh (as some might put it).

So we recommend all of the writers, who are trying to strengthen their position with the RWC to work harder and try to be more responsible towards the customers and the Support Team.

We would also like to highlight one important responsibility, which will be addressed more attentively with these new rules/procedures – order communication.

As you know the customer has a right to request a revision on the order within 14 days after its completion. That’s why you have to check the orders, which you have completed less than 14 days ago. You need to check the messages on these orders, and check if there aren’t any revisions. Usually a simple message with a clarification of a certain issue – is enough to avert a revision request.

We do hope, that you understand: we are making these changes in order to create a more balanced working environment for our users. It’s not always about the good stuff, so as it’s not all about the fines/penalties.

We are sure, that these changes will create a more balanced RWC system, which will benefit the users, so as the customers. Stay tuned for further updates.

Hey, Samuel! you have to realize that this is just a work-in-progress – it’s hard to create a system which is balanced right from the start. That’s there might be changes in the future, which will offer you to take other orders too (at this point we can’t make any promises). Plus, you have to realize that during the high season – there will be a lot more orders to choose from, initially! :)

In my view, the new measures are punitive and they are mainly meant to get rid of many writers. I think it is a silent way of kicking out writers. For example, how can you work for ten dollars only to end up losing 50 dollars. we do not go working to lose money.I think such penalties are meant to rob writers off their little pay.The best an individual should lose for poor work is the exact amount he or she has worked for. Secondly, the flow of orders has gone down considerably and I also detest the idea of explaining why i should be given an order. This is because explaining my capacity to do an order does not necessarily mean that i will write it correctly. Therefore, application for orders is worse than taking them directly. This is because when i take an order I know very well that i can do it, so i do not need to explain my self again. The new model of assigning orders will encourage prejudice in the company. Generally, these rules do not favor writers at all.In future if new rules shall be introduced, please involve writers in formulating them before they are implemented. I am now stressed to an extent that i think of working for other companies. These are my honest comments. Thank you.

      Dear Esther,
First of all the new implementations within the system are in NO way meant to kick out any of the writers; especially the experienced ones. We respect and cherish our users!

As for the availability of the orders – it will most likely be updated within a week or so. We received a lot of feedback about the limited number of orders for the higher leveled writers. That’s why we aren’t hiding anywhere – but having a constructive conversation – as you can see in the comments. As stated earlier – we are working to make it more user friendly and fair for all of our writers. It’s hard to implement a working system on this scale, with so many variables right from the start.

As for the 50 dollar fine – yes, it may seem to be a bit over the top. But if you look at some of the competing companies in the industry, you may change your mind. Some of the companies will fine you 200%-300% of the order total and we know entities, where fines aren’t limited at all. If you are a professional writer, who delivers on time and of proper quality, this should not be a problem at all. And if you consider some of the fines to be unfair, you can as you usual – contact the Support Team to work things out.

The available orders: their numbers will increase for everyone – as the peak of the high season is coming up! Thank you

As a one star writer, I really like the changes. The chance to pick an order without a request to staff will make it more possible for new writers to grow up the ranks as they can concentrate on picking orders that they can perform best. Thank you for the changes.

I have to say that changes are good but order availability with the new system is difficult, even for experienced writers who have worked with RWC for years. 3 and 4 star writers should have access to more orders, this will motivate them to become even better writers and attain the ultimate 5 star status. anyway, lets see how it will work out. Am hoping for the best!

hi. I am a level 4 writer, and have worked with this company for a very long time, making my way up the ranks. However, the new developments are a slap on my face, as opposed to a reward. I am now expected to request for orders, and since i started requesting almost 1 week ago, no single order has been assigned to me. Please reconsider this development. It is demoralising to seasoned writers like me and others out there. Thanks

Yes – please read the latest article on this topic – you can find it here or on the home page of our blog.
      Thank you.

So Alex after all is done, and after the company completes this new IT system and implements these rules why dont you take the inventory of the experienced writers that will be remaining in this company.
Maybe then, perhaps after many months you will reconsider changing these rules allover again. Funny, how all experienced writers are complaining while the newbies are happy..so it appears to me like you will be training a lot of people, who then move on to other companies when they are at their best. So good luck with the changes.
