Freelance Writing: Simple Tips on Complicated TopicsRWC Blog is No Place for Rudeness!

Don't Be Rude While Leaving Comments on the RWC BlogWhile I have been moderating the ResearchWritingCenter.com blog, I have encountered some really rude negative comments from our users. None of them has been posted.

They did not pass the moderation process, not because we want to look good for our users. We are fully aware, and accept that, like any other company, we may be subject to criticism for the way we do business.

That is why we are posting this article.

So back to the topic: these messages did not pass because they were so rude. The politest way to describe them is that they contained foul language.

The objection is not that we, the RWC staff, would have to read obscene messages. Instead, it is not fair to the other, more polite users, who do not want to see anything like this in the comments.

You folks need to remember that your rudeness solves nothing. You are only creating frustration and aggravation at the other end, as well as clogging the system!

Yes, you may very well have problems, which you want to share with others. Is it so difficult, however, to treat yourself, and other users with respect, and use good manners when writing your message? Folks who have shared their requests and concerns civilly and politely on the blog know that I have personally responded to them via email. I was delighted to assist them!

Remember the golden rule: “do unto others as you would have them do unto you!” Besides, you are unlikely to obtain resolution, because we are not responding to abusive messages.

We understand that like any person, you may be angry about a particular situation, and we are ok with that. We just want you to know why we will not respond to a blog post comment about it – if it is couched in abusive and offensive terms.

So if anyone has questions or comments concerning slow responses from Billing, or the level of the prices, or other issues – feel free to let us know through the blog, or the other vehicles for communication (see our article on the communication options here ).

We will be sure to respond to you as fast as we can; unless of course, you are rude and abusive in the first place=)

Great article! You are absolutely right: anyone can have problems and feel angry and frustrated. However, the more politely you talk about them, the sooner and the easier those problems can be solved. And the RWC Team is always open to mutual cooperation, this I can tell by my own experience! :)

Hello. I disagree. Everyone has an opinion. Let the coarse expression will not be published. But RWC has many drawbacks to the site.

I agree with you – everyone has an opinion:) And as you can see – your response was posted. There weren’t any negative comments before – as you can see. There was one, but the commenter was really rude to the RWC and the users – so we had to block his responses.
And I can assure you – if you are a professional freelance writer: stick to the deadline, always on topic, never rude to the customers, follow our suggestions – there is nothing, that can be a downside of cooperating with RWC!:)
If you have anything else to share – please feel free to do so. I’ll be glad to respond! As long as there is nothing rude:)
And by the way – a lot of people who have commented, had issues with RWC too, but it’s important to distinguish the fact that RWC has to maintain a certain quality standard in order to satisfy the customers. If anyone fails to fit – of course they will feel that they were personally offended, but that doesn’t change the fact that they weren’t absolutely professional with their work.
There are hundreds and hundreds of writers working with us and the majority of them are satisfied with our beneficial cooperation. Otherwise our community would not exist at all! :)
I hope that even if you had problems with RWC – they will soon be resolved! You have a great day! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
